To gain or maintain accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, an institution must comply with the standards contained in the Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement and with the policies and procedures of the Commission. The Commission applies the requirements of its Principles to all applicant, candidate, and member institutions, regardless of type of institution (public, private for-profit, private not-for-profit).
Texas State Technical College’s last accreditation was in July 2015. Our next reaffirmation date is Fall 2020. As we prepare for the on-site visit in Fall of 2020, there will be opportunities for campus members to ask questions, and hear more about what SACSCOC expects of TSTC, and offer suggestions for improving our effectiveness as an institution of higher learning.
