What’s the 2014 GED® Program? In 2014 you have more than just a test. You’ll have access to MyGED™ your online portal to sign up, study, schedule, check scores, and learn about jobs and college. The GED® test is offered on computer and it has been updated to make sure it measures what graduating high school seniors know and what colleges and employers will expect of you. You can choose to take the test in English or Spanish.

Reasoning Through Language Arts (150 minutes including a 10-minute break)

Where can I study? Go to MyGED™ at www.GED.com and click on “Study” to find tools, free practice test questions, and GED Ready™: The Official Practice Test.
Is there a fee to take the test? You can pay as you go with the GED® test. This means you can pay for each subject individually or when you are ready to test. In Texas the fee per subject is $36.25 or $145 total.
How do I register? Registration is simple. Simply sign up for MyGED™ at ged.com and you will get information about local policies, how to request modified testing conditions (accommodations), or you’ll be able to schedule right then.
When can I schedule? Scheduling is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week with MyGED™ at www.GED.com. Log in and click on “Schedule Test”. Once you complete the scheduling questions you’ll be directed to choose your test center location, language, subject, and the day and time that works best for you to test. You can also schedule one test at a time to make sure you feel prepared every time. Testing available at our Marshall, Harlingen and Waco locations.
What is the passing score? Effective January 26, 2016, the new passing score is 145 for each GED subject area. To find out if you’re likely to pass, take GED Ready™: The Official Practice Test and the only test that can tell you if you’re likely to pass. What is the retesting policy? You can test three times on the same subject without wait time restrictions. After the third attempt, there is a 60 day waiting period before retesting again.
