Using the Online Course Schedule
The Course Schedule is the listing of course offerings each semester. TSTC's Course Schedule is available only online; there is no printed version. Generally the Course Schedule is available about a week before the registration period begins for the following semester.
Reading the Course Schedule
Courses in the Course Schedule are accessbile several different ways.
If a course is not listed, it is not being offered this semester. Course descriptions are available by selecting the Course Number.
The underlined title bar lists the abbreviation for the department (e.g., in the below sample, PSYC = Psychology); the course number (e.g., 2301); the title (e.g., General Psychology), which is linked to the course description, including prerequisites.
Example of Course Description for Psychology:
PSYC 2301 - General Psychology (3-0-3)A survey of the major topics in psychology. Introduces the study of behavior and the factors that determine and affect behavior.
Prerequisites: Take 1 group;
Take QTEST-STCO QTEST-STE1;
Some TSTC courses are offered as combinations of lectures and labs. For instance, Anatomy & Physiology l is listed as BIOL 2301 (3) and BIOL 2101 (1) to distinguish lecture and lab.
