If you don’t need credit for a course, consider auditing it. An auditor attends class but doesn’t hand in papers, take part in discussions, receive evaluations, or earn credit. To audit, fill out an Course Audit Form.
A student receiving appropriate approval may audit a college course.
Steps for auditing a course
- Complete all admission requirements
- Obtain faculty permission to audit the course on the Course Audit Form (available in the Office of Admissions & Records)
- Deliver completed Course Audit Form to the Office of Admissions& Records prior to census date. Student cannot change to audit status after the semester's census date has passed.
