Business Management Technology Facilities
The Business Management Technology department is housed in the Office Occupations building, also known as building C. We currently have eight computer labs with 16 to 24 computers in each. We use Microsoft Office 2010 in our labs and the courses we offer are taught using this version of Microsoft Office. All computers operate using Microsoft Windows XP operating systems. We have "Open Lab" available all semester long where students are able to go before or after class to work on assignments. Lab Assistants are always on duty to help out students with any questions they may have. We also have a bulletin board where the BMT Job Placement managers post available positions in our area and throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Our students are prepared for successful careers as office professionals responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Students in our program use technology to develop necessary skills to become productive members of the business community, employed in roles such as office managers, administrative assistants, secretaries, office assistants, and general business clerks.
