Red Ribbon Week 2013
The TSTC Counseling Department, with help from the TSTC Support Services Department, the TSTC Wellness Center and the TSTC College Police Department, organized activities for students, faculty and staff of TSTC during Red Ribbon Week in October 2013.
Acivtivites on Monday included information on the dangers of alcohol and drug use along with several interactive activities including: Make Your Own Stressball, DWEyes Walk the Line and Drunk Darts, Spin and Pour, and Pledge to Be Drug Free.
Activities on Tuesday included information on the dangers of alcohol and drug use along with activities including creating a Drug Free Haiku, a baskteball 3-point drug free shootout, and Pledge to Be Drug Free.
Activities on Wednesday included information on the dangers of alcohol and drug use along with a guest speaker from South Texas Behavioral Health Hospital. The speaker focused on drug use and the consequences of drug use (legal, medical, social).
After attending each event, students were able to report an understanding of myths and facts about alchohol and drug use through an online survey.
