Collegiate G-Force Mentors Program
The G-Force Program at Texas State Technical College is funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. This program was established to promote higher education and to support the state’s efforts of Closing the Gaps by 2015. The G-Force Program is committed to provide students with the necessary tools and resources to plan and prepare for college enrollment.
GO Centers are local centers designed to create a college-going culture. They are equipped with individuals and resources dedicated to promoting college awareness both within schools and in the surrounding communities. Statewide, GO Centers reach out to students and parents through community partnerships and provide them with the tools and information they need to consider going to college a reality (THECB).
High School Go Center Partners
G-Force members are TSTC students who are hired to promote a college-going culture at the high school Go Centers and in our community. G-Force members undergo continuous training to better serve students at high school Go Centers and to assist students to transition to an institution of higher education. G-Force members also serve as Campus Tour Guides and New Student Orientation Leaders for Texas State Technical College.
