It is the goal of Texas State Technical College-Harlingen to provide its students with the best in support materials to ensure the finest possible education available. These materials guarantee that our students have the skills and knowledge to gain a position in their chosen field. Unfortunately, good quality, relevant materials are expensive, with costs continuing to rise every year. We receive most of funding for our library from the State of Texas, and with stricter budgeting every year it becomes harder for us to replace out dated materials or buy new subject materials to fulfill student needs. By donating either material or funding you help us continue to provide these high quality materials to our students, assuring their success.
If you would like to donate gently used materials to our library, please observe the following conditions:
The materials should be related to subjects taught at TSTC-Harlingen.
The materials should be current and published within the last than 10 years (or 3 years for technical manuals).
All materials must be bound. Please no pamphlets, magazines, or maps.
The materials must be in good condition no; water damage, tears, damaged spines. Covers should be intact.
The materials must be free of mold and stains.
The staff of the Learning Resource Center reserves the right to refuse materials that do not meet these criteria and to make exceptions to these guidelines. All donated materials that we cannot use will be returned to the donator.
If you would like to help us out with a monetary donation please make the check out to: Texas State Technical College Foundation, and in the memo section note it is for the TSTC-Harlingen Library fund.
