Student Leadership Banquet Recognizes, Honors Students, Staff

For the past eight years, the Student Leadership Banquet has recognized students, faculty and staff for their service to Texas State Technical College that school year.
On Thursday, at the 1920’s Gatsby-themed banquet students and staff dressed the part and celebrated another successful school year with a banquet and dance.
Director of Student Life Adele Clinton said everyone looks forward to the Student Leadership Banquet every year.
“TSTC produces so many outstanding student leaders and this banquet is a great way to recognize their achievements throughout the school year,” Clinton said. “It's a celebration of leadership and volunteerism."

President's Volunteer Service Award recipients:
The club award winners apply for the awards and a panel of judges reviews and scores them. The Mustang Leadership Academy graduates must complete a leadership workshop series and they are pinned with the official pin of the academy. The Service Squad graduates must volunteer at least 40 hours during their time as a TSTC student in order to graduate from the program.
The President's Volunteer Service Award is an award given by the White House, signed by President Barak Obama and recipients must have volunteered over 100 hours in the span of one year.
