Hybrid and Online Course Development Resources
Are you new to online course development and/or delivery? Maybe you developed an online course over 3 years ago and its time to make a major course revision. The documentation and steps below will help you with these processes:

If you are interested in retaining intellectural property rights to any of the online course materials you're considering developing, please read TSTC-Harlingen's College Operating Procedures ES 1.01 *before* you submit a course approval form.
This document contains important information related to compensation, development time, and requirements. Work with your supervisor and the Online Learning Office to complete. Once necessary signatures are obtained, file it with the Online Learning Office. Submission of the contract will initiate the course development or major course revision process.
If you are completing a major course revision, use this document to track and estimate the percentage of revisions you make to the course items.
This self-paced course must be completed by faculty new to online course development and/or delivery.
Work with the Online Learning Office staff, including our instructional designer, to develop your online course. Make sure that in the development of your course you meet the required Standards in the Quality Assurance Course Rubrics.
Present your course to your Department/Program chair for evaluation of your completed course according to the appropriate Rubric (online or hybrid). Submit the signed rubric indicating approval to the Online Learning Office by the submission deadline.
Your completed course will be reviewed by the Online Learning Advisory Committee according to the appropriate rubric (online or hybrid). Course offering is dependent on DC/PC and Committee approval.
