The Department of Physics offers two calculus based University Physics I and University Physics II courses. These courses are required by Associate Degrees in Physics and Engineering. In addition, the department offers an algebra based College Physics course needed by various technical programs and high school students. The department also teaches two Physical Sciences courses for education majors. All courses include appropriate labs. The courses are transferable to all Texas public universities. Students can obtain an Associate Degree in Physics. The purpose is also to train students who want to further their Physics education and enter a profession in the field of Physics.
