Student Learning Office
Welcome to Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Harlingen, a dynamic community of scholars and students located in the heart of the South Texas’ Rio Grande Valley. We’re proud to be a part of the Texas State Technical College System, the state’s two-year college system that is focused on training Texans for the workforce and lifelong learning. For those interested gaining an education for a high-tech career, enhancing a skill for professional development, or taking classes to transfer to a four-year university, TSTC Harlingen is great place to start. Regardless of your educational goal, TSTC Harlingen is committed to providing relevant instruction through quality faculty who bring a wealth of knowledge, innovation, passion, and positive student engagement to your classroom each day.
The Office of the Student Learning supports TSTC mission by overseeing and serving the faculty, staff, and administrative professionals that give our students this bright future. The Vice President for Student Learning works directly with the President and other Vice Presidents to develop institutional priorities and budgets, implement effective policies and procedures, and promote TSTC in our community, region, and the state. On a daily basis, the Office of Student Learning guides the activities that support the College’s strategic plan and legislated mission by communicating timely and accurate information, consistently applying policies and best practices, efficiently distributing resources, and leading with effective strategies and ideas.
We hope that this webpage will serve as a valuable resource for faculty, staff, and other stakeholders who need information about operations or initiatives in the Student Learning Division. Here we’ll share our plans, provide reports that have been prepared by committees and support departments, celebrate our successes, and give updates and key information.
