Texas State Technical College Institutional Accreditation

The Office of Institutional Accreditation is responsible for all matters relating to the College’s regional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Working alongside executive leadership, faculty and staff, the Office of Institutional Accreditation promotes ongoing compliance measures with SACSCOC accreditation standards.

To fulfill accreditation responsibilities, the office monitors the college’s institutional processes and policies for compliance alignment; supports quality assurance with strategic planning, program review and other institutional assessment activities; oversees and coordinates decennial and fifth-year reaffirmation processes; compiles and submits required compliance reports including notifications and substantive changes.

The purpose of accreditation is to assure institutional quality, accountability and a commitment to high standards through systematic methods of continuous improvement. The Office of Institutional Accreditation reports to the Executive Vice Chancellor/Chief Operations Officer and is committed to assisting all departments with maintaining compliance with SACSCOC principles of Accreditation.
