Career Services Holds Fall Industry Career Day

The Career Service Office held its Fall Semester Industry Career Day on Thursday, October 24th in the Visitor’s Entrance and Hallways of the South Building. There were 21 attending companies from around the East Texas area and there were also two companies from Dallas who attended, DAP Inc. and DFW Movers and Erectors. The Career Service Office used a new “Swipe In” software for checking in students to the event using their Tech One Student ID Cards. [Read More]

November 2013 Student Activities Spotlight

The residential housing association recently held a BBQ pork rib contest. The rules were that RHA would provide the ribs, but ribs had to be cooked on campus. Contestants also had to provide 2 sides and bread was not considered a side. RHA did not have a hard time finding judges for this event. Volunteers were RHA president, Martavian Beall, RA Brandon Veasy and resident, Christopher Walton. Once the winner was decided the ribs and sides were enjoyed by all that were present. [Read More]

Residence Life Names Top Residents

During the month of October the office of Residence Life asked housing residents for their help to decide who should be the Residential Assistant of the month. We asked them to please take their time and think about someone that they felt comfortable approaching with a question or concern and was this person consistent in communicating and upholding housing policies? Residents voted by email and congratulations went out to RA Erin Hall. Erin was awarded a gift card to the campus bookstore. [Read More]
