October 2013 - Student Activities Spotlight
The Student Government Association held their first meeting of the school year in conjunction with a Cookies and Punch social on September 25.
SGA has voted on many activities for the month of October. Each year, SGA has held a Halloween party. This year, the students have voted to hold a Organizational Fall Carnival and Haunted House on October 29, 2013.
Organizations wishing to participate in the Carnival and open up a booth or two to raise money for their organization are encouraged to reach out to Baily Atchley in Admin 148. Organizations wishing to participate in the Haunted House should also speak to Mrs. Atchley.
The Haunted House will have a “Haunted TSTC” theme.
In addition to the Haunted House, students voted to continue to have a booth at the downtown Fall Festival on Halloween night. The Fall Festival is a safe place for kids to come downtown and get free candy and play games and ride carnival rides.
Last year, the Fall Festival hosted approximately 7,000 students from Marshall and the surrounding areas.
