Longview Businessman Sworn in to TSTC Board of Regents
Keith Honey, a Longview businessman and former secretary of the TSTC Foundation Board was sworn in as a new Regent on the TSTC Marshall campus on November 19.
Regent Honey is taking the reins from Mike Northcutt, who served TSTC as a Regent for two six-year terms.
“Mike, I hope I can do at least a tenth of what you have done,” Honey said to Northcutt at the swearing in ceremony. “We appreciate your leadership.”
Regent Honey was sworn in by Harrison County judge Hugh Taylor. Also in attendance were members of the county and city commissions, as well as State Representative Chris Paddie.
“I see a great opportunity and potential here,” Honey said. “TSTC is doing a great job. I’m very grateful to be a part of TSTC.”
Mr. Honey serves as the external affairs manager of AEP SWEPCO and is the immediate past president of the Longview Economic Development Corporation.
Regent Honey is expected to serve until his term expires at the end of August 2019.
