What is New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation (NSO) is required for all incoming students. Students will learn about Texas State Technical College, classes and so much more. It is an opportunity to explore academics, campus life, and begin developing important relationships with faculty, staff and students. There are also opportunities to have all of your questions answered.

Why attend New Student Orientation?
Orientation is a required program for all incoming students. It helps prepare you for the transition into college life, provides important registration and financial aid information and creates opportunities to engage with current students as well as taking a tour of the campus.
Every new student will need to complete an orientation.
How long is New Student Orientation?
Orientation is held from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. The day includes campus tours, meeting with program chairs, presentations by Financial Aid, Student Records, Student Life and much more.
What should I wear to Orientation?
Dress comfortably. Plan to wear casual clothes and comfortable shoes for walking around campus.
Upcoming New Student Orientation Dates:
For students enrolling in Summer 2017 orientation will be held Tuesday, April 18. and Thursday, May 4. Dates for students beginning classes in Fall 2017 will be posted at a later date.
New Student Orientation is held at the TSTC Cultural Arts Center located off Loop 499 & Pecan Street.
