The mission of the Texas State Technical College Career Services department is to assist all graduates in securing employment in their chosen field of study. The staff provides comprehensive career planning services to aid students and graduates in developing resumes and cover letters, as well as learning job search and interviewing skills. Career Services professionals initiate and maintain business and industry contacts to improve employer relationships, fill job openings, and expand markets for job development.

The TSTC Career Service Office also assists students in locating part-time employment opportunities around the DFW area, so that they can have the opportunity to earn additional income while attending classes during the semester.

The TSTC Career Services Office offers a variety of assistance to students including:

  • Resume/Cover Letter Preparation and Writing
  • Job Interview Tips
  • Professionalism Techniques in the Workforce
  • Job Search Skills
  • Professional Clothes Closet

The Career Service Office also hosts several events every semester for the students. These events will begin to be hosted starting in 2015!

  • Industry Career Day – A Job Fair with many companies looking to hire TSTC Students in all of our programs.
  • Transfer Fair – Opportunity for students to learn how to transfer their TSTC credits to a 4-year college/university and earn their Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Resume Writing Workshop – Learn the basics of resume writing and how to make your resume shine.


At TSTC you’ll earn a certificate or associates degree that will launch you into a great career. The goal of the Career Service Office is to help you put your skills to good use while making a comfortable wage in a career that you will be happy with.
