It was Margaret Mead, an organizational consultant, who once said, “Never under estimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” This sentiment has certainly rang true at Texas State Technical College.
Over the past four years, the instructional structure and infrastructure has become more consistent and efficient. During the curriculum alignment process, faculty reviewed every program, and every course to make sure it matches what industry wants. "I appreciate the faculty, their dedication, competence and commitment to producing a superior product throughout the curriculum alignment process," said Adam Hutchison, Associate Vice Chancellor. "Truly, without them, our success would not be possible."
While aligning every program, the colleges have also defined common nomenclature as well. “TSTC will have statewide consistency in how its instructional departments operate, how students progress through degree plans and the quality of online learning,” said Hutchison.
The results of this hard work can be seen in a common course catalog for TSTC statewide.
