If you wish to enter the workforce quickly or add to an existing knowledge base, TSTC offers two levels of certification in Indoor Environmental & Product Refrigeration, one in HVAC Technician and one in Refrigeration Mechanic that requires just 27 credit hours to complete. You can also choose from Associate of Applied Science degrees in HVAC Technology with options in Commercial Specialization, Indoor Environmental & Product Refrigeration and Residential Light Commercial Specialization.
If you are focused, you can expect to master the skills of basic, advanced and Direct Digital Control Systems in the college’s industry-standard labs on high efficiency commercial and residential heating and air conditioning equipment, heat pumps, commercial refrigeration equipment and a 200-ton chilled water system. To help our students obtain the Environmental Protection Agency’s required certification necessary to work with refrigerants during the service, repair or disposal of appliances and industrial process refrigeration, TSTC offers this vital testing to give students a critical advantage at hiring time.
