Thank you for your interest in the Education & Training program at Texas State Technical College Harlingen. As a student at TSTC Harlingen, you will be awarded endless opportunities to fulfill your educational goals. TSTC students enjoy a hands-on learning environment that promotes continued educational growth.
TSTC is constantly evolving and providing programs to compete with the specialized fields of the working world. TSTC Harlingen offers Certificates of Completion in Education & Training. In addition, the program offers Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Education & Training. Graduates of the program can have career opportunities that offer a sense of responsibility, personal growth, achievement and financial reward.
The Education & Training program enables graduates to be placed in various educational positions within public and private schools. Five educational areas of emphasis are available, including studies in bilingual education, computer technology, general education, early childhood, and special needs education.
The ET program supports the mission of TSTC Harlingen by educating students in the technical educational courses necessary to complete an Associate of Applied Science Degree and/or a Certificate of Completion. The TSTC Harlingen Education & Training program fulfills the State Board for Educator Certification standards for the "No Child Left Behind Act of 2001" by preparing students in a wide range of technical educational competencies and by providing a basic foundation in teaching methodologies for effective roles as educators and assistants within public or non-public schools.
Career opportunities within the program vary between options and I encourage you to visit the program and find out which choice is right for you. TSTC can provide you with the knowledge to achieve your goals.
