Certificate of Completion - Automotive Technology

This educational track is two semesters in length and provides the knowledge and skills you’ll need to become an entry-level automotive technician. You’ll be qualified to diagnose, service, and repair domestic cars, and troubleshoot problems using specialized equipment. This certificate provides extensive hands-on training in state-of- the-art laboratory equipment and focuses on the eight areas of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification that are vital to the automotive industry. From suspension to diagnostics, students will learn every aspect of automotive maintenance and repair in our NATEF/ASE certified program. Students who earn their certificate of completion may find careers in independent shops, dealerships, specialty repair shops, retail automotive service areas, automotive part stores and fleet maintenance shops.

Associate of Applied Science Degree - Automotive Technology

The AAS option gives students in the Automotive Technology Program the ability to enhance their skills beyond the certificate level.  Students further their automotive knowledge by taking additional courses in automotive management, advanced engine performance, advanced power trains, and automatic transmissions diagnostics in preparation for additional certifications in ASE.  Students with an AAS degree in Automotive Technology have the potential to become automotive service writers, shop managers, service managers, and customer service managers.  And with the business skills they’ll learn in our Professional Development courses, they may even own and operate their own shop!
