Student pursues fourth TSTC diploma

Three computer-related diplomas at Texas State Technical College Waco were not enough for Mark Eslick, who is pursuing a fourth diploma. He plans to receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Network Security Technology in 2011.

The customer service representative employed by Convergys, a vendor for AT&T, assists cell phone customers with trouble-shooting functions and billing issues. His career goal is to work for a company such as Hewlett Packard or possibly start his own computer maintenance business while also analyzing computer networks.

Some of my best memories from TSTC involve experiences with SkillsUSA,” Eslick said. “I met many interesting people while advancing to national competition for two years, and being a student worker enriched my education because I gained in-depth, close-up perspectives while assisting the instructors.”

His diplomas include AAS degrees in Computer Maintenance Technology and Computer Networking and Systems Administration, and a Certificate of Completion in Home Technology Integration.
