Flight paramedic goes for RN goal
Steven Hobbs is taking his flight paramedic and an emergency medical services director skills to another level by studying to become a registered nurse.
“My TSTC instructor constantly made us do homework and go outside the classroom to find answers,” he said. “Doing that helped me in my current duties to ‘think outside the box’ when faced with a difficult patient or to find answers for the RN classes.”
The firsthand ambulance calls as part of the clinical experiences and learning from a paramedic instructor who was taking additional training made the TSTC courses relevant and “as life like as possible to get us ready for the real world,” he added.
“TSTC has helped influence me by showing me what it takes to be successful in life and how to go the extra mile to get what you want.”
