Health training benefits wind technicians

Jeff Lacher puts his TSTC education to use with his physical fitness and accident prevention training to keep wind energy technicians safe. He earned the Wind Energy Technology diploma while working full time as Corporate Health contractor for Florida Power & Light.

“I chose TSTC because it was a pioneer and leader in training quality wind technicians for the industry,” he said. “I was impressed with how instructors and the administration took a sincere interest in the personal and professional development of each student.”

Lacher also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in exercise science from the University of Florida.

“The TSTC experience has enabled me to tailor industry specific presentations on body positioning, injury prevention, cumulative trauma disorders and back safety that will prolong the health and careers of wind technicians and increase worker productivity,” he explained.
