Records Training

Records management training provides employees an overview of records management procedures established by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and maintained by Texas State Technical Colleges. It is essential that employees are aware of the responsibilities of state agencies, as well as their own responsibilities, in the maintenance and disposition of documents. Through training, employees are provided the objectives of records management; an explanation of fields and codes on the Records Retention Schedule; exceptional circumstances regarding timelines; the procedural safeguards to ensure compliance; and the availability of college Records Managers to assist with processes.
