Texas State Technical College System and Technology Futures Inc., published a new technology forecast on fuel cells titled Fuel Cells, A Technology Forecast: Implications for Community and Technical Colleges in the State of Texas. This is the second of an ongoing series of emerging technology program studies through TSTC’s Programs for Emerging Technologiesresearch program. This research is designed to drive the development and support of emerging technology curriculum and facilitate informed and accurate future curriculum development efforts for Texas community and technical colleges.
The report provides general observation about the state of fuel cell development, workforce implications for the state of Texas, training strategies for community and technical colleges, current fuel cell activities in Texas, and forecasts likely future applications and commercialization opportunities the fuel cell sector.
Over 200 Texas community and technical college instructional officers and a number of other key stakeholders related to fuel cells, curriculum development, and economic development in Texas will receive hard copies of the report. Although this report is targeted towards higher education, the information and insights presented within may well be of interest and value to others involved in the increasingly mature fuel cell industry.
