Associates Degree - Automotive Technology
The Associates Degree option gives you the ability to enhance your skills beyond the certificate level. You'll further your automotive knowledge by taking additional courses in automotive management, advanced engine performance, advanced power trains, and automatic transmissions diagnostics in preparation for additional certifications in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). With an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology you have the potential to become an automotive service writer, shop manager, service manager, and customer service manager. And with the business skills you’ll learn in our Professional Development courses, you may even own and operate your own shop!
Certificate I - Automotive Mechanic
This educational track is two semesters in length and provides the knowledge and skills you’ll need to become an entry-level automotive technician. You’ll be qualified to diagnose, service, and repair domestic cars, and troubleshoot problems using specialized equipment. This certificate provides extensive hands-on training on state-of- the-art laboratory equipment, and focuses on the eight areas of the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification that are vital to the automotive industry. From suspension to diagnostics, you'll learn every aspect of automotive maintenance and repair in our NATEF/ASE certified program. Upon completion of the Automotive Mechanic Certificate, you may find careers in independent shops, dealerships, specialty repair shops, retail automotive service areas, automotive part stores and fleet maintenance shops.
