The Associate’s Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling differs from the certificate levels in that you will receive more extensive training and are eligible to apply for state licensure when you have completed the coursework. You will be eligible to secure jobs in the community and in-prison treatment facilities. These additional courses allow you to gain more extensive skills in counseling.
All general education courses are intended for transfer. Technical courses are designed for workforce education and their transferability is up to the receiving institution.
