What the Future Holds

The Bureau of Labor and Statistics has projected that there will be more job openings in drug and stubstance abuse counseling than there will be graduates to fill the positions. One hundred precent of the recent graduates from the TSTC West Texas Chemical Dependency Counseling program have either been placed in jobs or continued their education at a four-year university. That means you will have plenty of opportunities to build your career as a counselor with a degree from TSTC West Texas.

Our instructors are closely connected to industry and can give you information on prospective employers. Your practicum in a treatment facility will give you first-hand experience in the field, and can often be your foot in the door to a career. These opportunities, combined with our services offered through our Placement Office, will increase your chances of finding a great future in chemical dependency counseling.
