Associates Degree - Computer Science Database & Web Programming TechnologyThe TSTC West Texas Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Science Technology requires approximately four semesters to complete. Not only will you complete all the technical courses offered in the program, but you'll round out your education with a semester of General Education. As a graduate, you may hold a variety of positions, including: Database Programmer, Web Programmer, Applications Developer, Computer Programmer, Software Developer, Internet Programmer, Computer Software Engineers and Database Administrators. These specialized professionals develop customized or packaged general-use software needed to create business solutions for a variety of situations, including building dynamic web sites that interact with databases through programming code. Certificate II - Application DevelopmentThis certificate contains all of the technical courses offered in the Computer Science Technology program. You'll develop programming skills in C++, Visual Basic, PHP and Java, and database skills in Access, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. With this one-year certificate, you'll be able to enter the workforce with the confidence you need to succeed in this growing industry. Certificate I - Basics of Database and Web Page ProgrammingThis two-semester certificate provides you with the foundational knowledge you'll need in the computer and database programming industry. You'll learn the basics of database and web programming, with a focus in the second semester on more in-depth database programming. In two short semesters you will gain the essential skillsets for a career in the Computer Science industry. |
