Concept art illustrators work collaboratively with writers and directors to make a story a visual experience. Whether it's anime or the 3D animation found in the newest Pixar box office hit, graphic illustrators draw the viewer into the world of the imagined.
Be prepared to get your hands dirty in the Digital Arts program. You'll learn to use maquette, sculpt, do 3D modeling and animation, storyboard, and draw caricatures and cartoons. You'll also study digital techniques like concept art sketching, digital rendering, and digital painting to round out your artistic skillset--making you all that more marketable as an employee.
Compared to other college or university art programs, the TSTC West Texas Digital Arts program offers you an opportunity to learn relevant, professional skills using contemporary, 21st Century communication technology. And at a much smaller cost in tuition. Plus, you'll enter the workplace up to twenty months sooner than you would attending a four-year university!
The Digital Arts program is part of the Audio & Visual Communications Division.
