The mission of Texas State Technical College West Texas (TSTC West Texas) revolves around technical training—preparing students for the workforce. The academic courses which are a part of the TSTC West Texas degree plan serve an important role in that mission, providing students with a breadth of knowledge that is not specifically focused upon skills related to the career they are pursuing. The general education courses offered by faculty members at TSTC West Texas are taught at the college level and are eligible for transfer to any other college or university.
