Components/Methods of TLI

The TSTC Leadership Institute usues a variety of methods to help faculty and staff develop their leadership skills. The course is rigorous, and well worth the effort given the personal and professional growth that can occur when particants fully apply themselves throughout the term of the course. A Class IV syllabus, or course schedule is provided here to help prospective learning team members understand the expectations on participants accepted into the TSTC Leadership Institute. Modifications to Class V curriculum will take place over the summer, but this is provided to help prospective applicants to generally prepare themselves for the time commitment.

  • Face-to-face Waco meetings for entire class of participants

    (at least 3 sessions, 1 ½-2 ½ days each)

  • Weekly Readings

  • 4 times a week Online Moodle discussion thread participaiton
  • Speakers

  • Presentation skills
  • Mentors / Accountability Partners

  • MBTI Type Assessment
  • 360 Leadership Practices Inventory
  • Individual leadership plans

  • TSTC statewide project or campus group leadership project

  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded to those who successfully complete the course (typically 16 CEUs)
