TSTC is committed to providing highly specialized and advanced technical education that can lead to great career opportunities. We currently offer over 100 certificate and degree programs state-wide.

TSTC students come from more than 100 counties across the state. They arrive right out of high school, transfer from other colleges or from the workforce.

While we are proud that TSTC's education is affordable and a high return on your investment, we realize financial aid is the only option for some students.

At TSTC we understand your ultimate goal is a career you're passionate about and will make you the money you want to enjoy your life! Our goal is to help you be successful.

TSTC has been providing top-quality, career-driven education for Texans for close to 50 years. The college is nationally recognized for the number and quality of our technology graduates.

You're never too young or old to get the right education for the right career.

For 45 years, the State of Texas has invested in TSTC – and only TSTC – as its technical college system of choice. That makes TSTC a highly affordable education as well as one that is scrutinized by the Texas Legislature for quality and accreditation.

High School Students

Not that being a doctor or a lawyer isn’t a worthwhile goal, but there are many other careers that are fulfilling, exciting and will bankroll your lifestyle. As a high school student, you can explore technical careers that are in demand and begin to make one a reality. How? For starters, meet with your counselor or a TSTC advisor about an array of career options that would fulfill your passion. Then, plan your High School coursework to align with your future TSTC studies, learn about classes that will earn you both high school and college credit at the same time, and figure out what kind of education and financing is needed for your career goals.

We’ve all heard the old saying that an adult changes careers three times during their lifetime. At least one of those career moves will likely require training. Whether you want to upgrade your skills towards a promotion or are unemployed looking to re-tool yourself, we’ll help you find the right combination of education that will fit into your busy life – and not break the bank!

Active military and veterans have gained specific skills through their military training that often transfer well into civilian careers. Depending on what field you want to pursue, TSTC can help assess your existing skills, fill in the gaps, and provide the certification you need to verify your knowledge, skills, and abilities with a future employer. You’ve served your country. Now let us serve you!

University Bound

“College” is in our name. While TSTC is designed to provide “terminal” degrees – meaning you can go straight to work with a TSTC education – we realize that some of our students want to earn their bachelor’s degrees. TSTC offers an array of academic courses at all of our colleges to support our associate degrees. At TSTC Harlingen, you can complete the full spectrum of Academic Core courses and fields of study courses to help you make that leap to a four-year university.

Campus Security

No matter who you are ... a recently graduated high school student, a military vet ready to start again, or an adult seeking additional skills, we want you to know, TSTC makes every effort to make our campuses a safe environment for you.
