Is your idea of fun working on cars or engines? Do you love fixing things that don't work correctly? Check out the Automotive Technology Program at TSTC West Texas, where you'll learn all about automotive systems and how to repair and maintain them. You'll study the right way, the safe way, to work on cars, and discover how to turn your passion into a career.


At TSTC West Texas, you'll train in a new state-of-the-art facility featuring drive-in labs, eight lifts, the latest alignment equipment, a dynamometer to simulate road conditions, the latest computerized diagnostic equipment, and safety facilities. Our knowledgeable instructors stay up-to-date with changes in industry technology. You won't miss out on computer training either. Automotive technology integrates computerized systems with mechanical systems, so you'll learn both. You'll troubleshoot problems, and design and implement solutions. Your training will be hands-on, with lots of opportunity to practice repairing automotive systems.

We are proud to incorporate an Automotive Alternative Fuels course into our program, which allows students to hone their diagnostic skills using a Ford/GM Light Diesel truck trainer, a Toyota Hybrid Trainer, and a Compressed Natural Gas Trainer. Working on these state-of-the-art simulators give you an edge in this changing industry, and make you all that more marketable as an employee.

The Automotive Technology Program is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). With this endrosement, employers know that TSTC West Texas graduates have been trained to the highest standards in automotive repair and maintenance.
