What happens at Orientation?
New Student Orientation begins with an overview of TSTC services and policies to help you make an easy transition to college life. This is your opportunity to receive important information about the admissions process, financial aid, business office procedures, library, distance learning, the learning community and student support services.
Most importantly, New Student Orientation provides the opportunity for you to meet one-on-one with your mentor and advisor. You will receive information about your degree plan, the courses required, and available degree-specific career opportunities.
This orientation is mandatory for all new students at TSTC; new students will not be allowed to register for classes unless they attend orientation.
Registration for Classes
After meeting with an advisor to complete your schedule, you will register for courses, take ID picture and make payment arrangements.
Classes fill up quickly; reserve your place at orientation today to get the classes you need and the best schedule possible!

What about testing requirements?
College readiness test scores must be received by TSTC before a student can be advised and/or registered. If you have not tested, there is opportunity to take the TSI Assessment on the North Texas campus. The fee for the TSI Assessment is $30.00. For more testing information or testing dates, contact the Success Coach at 972-617-4738.
