Partner with the Job Location and Development (JLD) Program to connect with skilled technical students across Texas.

What is the Job Location and Development Program?
The Job Location and Development (JLD) Program at Texas State Technical College is a federally funded program designed to help currently enrolled students identify part-time jobs, internships, and co-op opportunities that complement their academic and career goals. These opportunities are available to all students, regardless of eligibility for need-based financial aid.

Employer Information
The JLD Program connects employers with TSTC students who are developing hands-on skills through their technical coursework. Through this federally funded program, TSTC partners with businesses and organizations across Texas to identify part-time jobs, internships, and co-op opportunities that allow students to apply what they’re learning in real-world settings.
Partnering with the JLD Program helps employers meet workforce needs while supporting students as they build the technical skills and experience needed for future employment in their field.
Program Requirements
The JLD Program is federally funded, and employer partnerships help ensure these services remain available. Participating employers are asked to share basic information about student hires, such as the number of hires, pay rate, and employment dates. This information helps maintain program funding and demonstrate its impact.
