This certification course is designed to train and assess dental assistants and hygienists in monitoring the administration of nitrous oxide. The course is conducted in person over eight hours and fulfills the necessary requirements for certification. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certification valid for five years.

- Review the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system.
- Discuss the pharmacology of nitrous oxide.

- List methods to reduce patient anxiety.
