About The Program

What Is Talent Search?

Talent Search is an educational outreach program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. It is designed to help motivate and support students in grades six through 12 at our designated target schools.

What do we do?

The Talent Search team identifies students with the potential for postsecondary achievement and provides educational guidance, career exploration, and advisement to promote secondary school completion and readiness for the college pathway.

Eligibility

Who Is Eligible?

Students must meet the following criteria:

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident

• Attend Mercedes ISD, San Benito CISD or Santa Maria ISD (grades six through 12)

• Be at least 11 years old

• Be enrolled with a foundation with an endorsement (high school only)

• Qualify as first-generation, income-eligible student as per federal regulations
