(HUTTO, Texas)  The TSTC Foundation has accepted a $10,000 financial gift from Skybox Critical Operations to support HVAC program students at Texas State Technical College’s Williamson County campus.

The gift, presented during a check presentation on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the East Williamson County Higher Education Center in Hutto, will be distributed among 10 HVAC students. The scholarship funds will help cover tuition and other education-related expenses.

“By investing in student scholarships, our industry partners support students, so they can focus on their education, complete their programs and step into high-demand careers,” said Elizabeth Eguia Robinson, senior development officer for The TSTC Foundation.

Skybox Critical Operations partners with organizations to provide secure, reliable data center solutions. Supporting TSTC students aligns with the company’s focus on strengthening the technical workforce.

“Being able to connect with The TSTC Foundation allowed us to both give back to the community and also fill jobs here in Hutto and in Austin,” said Daniel Jacob, Skybox’s manager of customer situations and strategic programs. “We’re just really excited to continue to foster this relationship.”

HVAC is one of TSTC’s hands-on technical programs that prepares students for careers in residential, commercial and industrial climate control. Graduates can pursue roles such as HVAC technicians, installers and maintenance specialists.

“We are grateful to Skybox for investing in our HVAC students and their futures,” said Kay Lehman, program team lead of the HVAC program. “This scholarship helps students move into good-paying jobs while supporting the workforce needs of our region’s data centers.”

The TSTC Foundation works with industry partners like Skybox to provide scholarships, equipment and other resources that directly benefit students and programs across the state.
