The TSTC Waco Airport is located less than one mile from I-35 on the Texas State Technical College campus in Waco, eight miles north of downtown Waco which is central to the four largest cities in the state. The Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is 90 miles to the north; Houston is 180 miles to the southeast; San Antonio is 180 miles southwest; and Austin lies 100 miles to the south down I-35.

The TSTC Waco Airport sits at an altitude of 470 feet above sea level. The control tower is open seven days a week and is staffed with FAA certified controllers. Current weather data is available with the Automated Weather Observation Station (AWOS).

The TSTC Waco Airport has two parallel runways for simultaneous arrivals and departures and is served from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. by FAA certified controllers. On-site support services include full fuel service, Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) and state-of-the-art ARFF Index E Unit.

An impressive facility, the primary runway is an all-weather, asphalt runway which has been stressed to handle wide-bodied jets weighing up to 450,000 pounds. The adjacent parking apron covers approximately 3 million square feet. On-site support services include an ARFF equivalent to Index E unit and a full-service fuel facility (Avgas or Jet Fuel) with a 50,000 gallon capacity.

The variety of available instrument and visual approach aids includes a full Instrument Landing System (ILS) to runway 17L, Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) approaches and Global Positioning System (GPS) approaches.
