As the health care industry gets more complex, there is one constant that all doctors and nurses need to provide care: access to information. Whether running the computer systems that keep track of our health care records or helping doctors and nurses chart their procedures, all the information must be easy to access and easy to understand. Health Information Technicians focus their skills on health care data and the management of health care information resources for providers and the health care industry.
In this program, you will learn how these systems work and how they interface with providers, payers, insurers, patients and others. This program will also teach you a lot about the ins and outs of the health care industry.
