Program Details
TSTC offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing (ADN). This is a fast-paced transition program for current LVN licensees which will lead to an AAS degree in Nursing in a short 12 months and Upon successful completion of the ADN (LVN to RN) program requirements, the student will be
eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for registered nurses. In the ADN nursing programs, students are offered a variety of hands-on clinical experiences to prepare students for becoming a registered nurse As a registered nurse you can work in hospitals, day-surgery centers, rehabilitation centers, physicians’ offices, home health care agencies, among other areas.
TSTC also offers a certification in Vocational Nursing. Upon completion of this HYBRID program and passing the National Council Licensure Examination, you will be classified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). In the Vocational Nursing program, students participate in an innovative hands-on training environment that helps develop their caregiving skills. Instruction consists of classroom, simulation learning labs, interactive online sessions, virtual clinicals, and on-site health care clinicals.
