Helpful tips to get you started

  1. Apply to TSTC
    Apply for your desired program at: tstc.edu/apply
  2. Submit Official Transcript(s)
    High school/GED or previously attended college transcripts must be delivered in a sealed envelope via mail or dropped off in person to the Office of Admissions. Students can have transcripts sent electronically from the previous institution to: admissions@tstc.edu
  3. Submit Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Record
    Submit to the Office of Admissions. Vaccination must have been administered within the last five years if you are under 22 years old.
  4. Complete Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Advisement
    The TSI establishes college readiness standards for incoming students who declare a Level 2 or an associate degree. You may be exempt based on other approved testing or coursework you have completed. To learn more about exemptions, meet with an enrollment coach. To schedule a TSI assessment, visit our Testing page. 
  5. Apply for Financial Aid
    Apply at studentaid.gov or download the FAFSA app. Get more information on our Financial Aid page.
  6. Sign the Student Financial Obligation Agreement
    As a student you are financially responsible for your classes. You can read and electronically sign the agreement here or through the TSTC Portal (portal.tstc.edu).
  7. Register for Classes
    When the checklist is complete, please contact your enrollment coach to register for classes.
  8. Make a Payment
    Pay your balance or set up a payment plan with Student Accounting.
  9. Join our community
    Learn about student life through our New Student Orientation.
  10. Questions? 
    Schedule an appointment with an enrollment coach.

Additional Information

Once you have completed your online application, we may need more information.

  • If you graduated from high school, submit an official copy of your high school transcript.

  • If you earned a State of Texas Official Certificate of High School Equivalency or GED, submit a copy of your certificate or official score report.

  • If you are transferring from a college or university, submit official transcripts from all institutions of higher education you attended.

What if I did not earn a high school diploma or GED certificate?

If you do not meet the requirement as a high school graduate from an accredited high school or high school equivalency program, complete and submit the Individual Approval Form.
